While Democratic Hollywood supporters reap the bitter taste of defeat, President George W. Bush will hold office another four years.
Conservative critics continue to point out that the mainstream media is democratically driven, but many prestigious newspaper writers disagree and stand firm with their commitment to reporting both liberal and conservatives views equally. Rap Star "P. Diddy", who launched the popular slogan "Vote or Die", expressed a dark humor after President Bush was reelected. "It is clear that Bush won, but it is time to die now baby," said Diddy.
Many Hollywood stars expressed both shock and anger toward President Bush’s reelection. Comedian Bill Maher, who is known for his political humor, analyzed the election. "All the red states that Bush won symbolizes the bloodshed that will continue over in Iraq," said Maher.
Although some stars are lashing out verbally against the Bush administration’s new term, Kerry’s camp continues to denounce that they do not endorse any comments made by these individuals. John Stewart, who hosts the Daily Show on Comedy Central, joked about the Nov. 2 elections.
"Bush wins! Well, I guess I have to move to another country now," said Stewart.
While some Hollywood stars may disapprove with Bush’s win over Kerry, it is clear that President Bush is the one laughing all the way to the White House. Hope is still there for Democrats and nobody said it better than John Kerry in his Concession Speech addressed to the nation. "The time will come; the election will come when your work and your ballot will change the world. And it’s worth fighting for," said Kerry.
