Dillard University theatre students and faculty pose after winning second place (excellent) in the Reader’s Theatre Competition at the 81st annual conference of the National Association of Dramatic and Speech Arts, or NADSA, during spring break – the first time in more than 20 years that Dillard has hosted the conference, according to Cortheal Clark, humanities chair. Five other HBCUs joined Dillard: University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Jackson State, Coppin State, Winston-Salem and Prairie View A&M for workshops and competitions.
