NEW ORLEANS (Oct. 20, 2017) — Kyle Reiss and Malaysha Seals will be crowned 2017-18 Mister and Miss Dillard at “Royal Evolution” Coronation ceremonies at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Civic Center, with complementary shuttle service for students.
Seals and Reiss, both seniors from Mobile, Ala., are serving as the 82nd Miss Dillard and the 12th Mister Dillard.
The court includes Miss Freshman Breanna Bailey, Mister Freshman Breanna Bailey, Miss Sophomore Brianna Thomas, Mister Sophomore Todd Welch, Miss Junior Ke’Adria Miller, Mister Junior Akheem Dowl, Miss Senior Kenya Moore and Mister Senior Aziz Muhammed.
All active and chartered organizations are expected to be represented, including the Student Government Association, Dillard Student Activities Board, Dillard English Club and S.K.I.R.T.S. The program will include performances by DU Diamonds dance team and the Royal Bluez Pom Squad.
A complimentary shuttle will provide students transportation to and from Coronation. Students should have received an email with a reminder that the shuttle will pick students up from behind Dent Hall at 6 p.m., and you must RSVP to ride the shuttle. If you are driving, remember you must pay to park at parking lots near the venue.
Free tickets to the event were distributed to students, faculty and staff from Oct. 6-19 in the bottom of Kearny and in the offices for Student Engagement and Leadership.
