NEW ORLEANS (October 25, 2019)—The Dillard University theatre department will open its 85th season today and run through the weekend with the vignette production “Saints and Sinners” in the Samuel DuBois Cook Hall Theatre.
The play, set for 7:30 p.m. tonight, also will be performed at the same time Saturday, with a matinee at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Tickets are $5 for students with school ID; $10 for faculty, staff, senior citizens and non-Dillard students; and $15 for general admission.
Twenty-one students will perform 23 roles in the nine-act play that focus on themes such as revenge, grief and mortality, according to faculty member Ray Vrazel, who is director.

Act One: “Slightly Left of Paradise”

– Morgan Ward, an Oakland, Calif., sophomore, as Lydia Turner
