Arrest

Singer D’Angelo was arrested on charges of drunk driving and drug possession near his hometown of Richmond, Va., on Sunday. Born Michael Eugene Archer, was stopped for a traffic violation but after searching his vehicle police found cocaine substance and marijuana.

Accused

Ashanti and her mother /manager, Tina Douglas were sued in Manhattan Federal Court in October by some producer from the Georgia based production company called T.E.A.M Entertainment. They claim that Ashanti and her mother owe them royalties of four million dollars from Ashanti’s platinum selling album Ashanti.
