A white Honda parked legally behind the PSB with a recently purchased DU faculty parking decal for 2017-2018 also holds a warning tag from campus police on Wednesday, Sept. 13. Campus police’s Lt. Silas Phipps was contacted to determine why police had tagged the vehicle, but the Courtbouillon received no response. Janel Green, vice president of business and finance, sent out a campus-wide notice Sept. 14 that because of the increased demand for parking and Dillard community complaints, parking decal fees have been reduced by half for the 2017-2018 year. The new fees are $100 for faculty and staff and $50 for part-time faculty and students. She also noted parking ticket amnesty has been extended to Friday, Sept. 22, instead of ending Monday, Sept. 18.
